Is the customer ALWAYS right?

This phrase is popularized by Harry Gordon Selfridge in the early 1900s, and it is wrong on so many levels.

There are wrong customers and sometimes employees need to know how to handle them accordingly.

You, as the business owner, may actually have a negative impact on the morale of your customer support team. Your top priority must be retaining quality employees who you trust and have confidence in.

Unruly and rude customers will always be out there, but that doesn’t mean you need to keep doing business with them. Let these customers be wrong and let them go.
